Meetings...

Last Friday we had a meeting at the @ office. Akila amd me participated for the meeting from our LC. It was a very important meeting, and got a lot of knowledge about the calling and selling of the PBoXes.
On Tuesday we had our LC meeting. There we talked about the next conference which will be happening on April. This will be organized by our LC XCon team.....

OC meeting with MC

Hi.. On last Sunday we had a OC meeting with MC members Sasha and Damitha at the AIESEC office in the evening. It was a important meeting so I had to cut the evening classes too. For that only three members from the OC participated.
The meeting was a cool one, had a lot of knowledge about the project and the things to be done in the future. Got a lot of ideas to the conference to be held in the last week in January.

The meeting was over at about 7 o'clock. Sasha and the others had organized a Christmas party that night. But unfortunately, I could not participate for it.
However had a nice time and got to know about the party later on.....

Trip to the Mini World's End.......

We went on our batch trip on 3rd of January this year. We went to Rever's Turn, which is considered to be the mini world's end. We started the journey at around six in the morning. It took about nine hours to reach there. We had to change the buses we travelled because, they were too large to travel along the mountain roads. So, we had to go a distance of 15km by a small bus.

We started climbing at about 3:30p.m. The weather was so cold and the wind also was so strong. We managed to reach the top of the mountain at about 5 p.m. We spent some time there, and climbed down the hill. It was dark, when we reached down. The day was a poya day, therefore we could see around through the moon light. Then we were dropped down after travelling a distance about 5 km by the small bus, because the bus had to go back.
From there onwards we started walking. The road was laid through a pinus jungle. We could hear the sound of water falls which were by the sides of the road. We walked about two kilometers in the moon-lit night. Afterthat, a lorry(canter) was stopped and asked us to get in. From there onwards, we travelled by the back of the lorry. My friends sat down in the lorry close together because it was freezing cold.There I remembered an event of a refugee film. However after 15 minutes drive, we reached the place where our buses were parked. Then we got in the buses and started travel back home. We had dinner from Kandy at around 10 p.m. Then we came to the university at about 1 in the next morning.

I had a great experience from that trip. It will be an unforgetable journey in my life....

BOC Visit.......

Today morning went for a company visit with Akila and Sasha to Bank of Ceylon. We went on time for the meeting. But we couldn't find the correct person there. Akila also didn't have the contact number of the person. So, after few minutes, he contacted the correct person over the phone.

Then unfortunately, we got to know that he is working not in Bank of Ceylon, but in Central Bank.:-)

So, that was an unforgetable moment for us. So, we couldn't go for the meeting because we had prepared the documents for the Bank Of Ceylon. Afterthat, we called him and said we would contact him in the first week in January.

That's the main event happened in the day. Rest of the day's normal and had nothing to do specially. Got to know that the practices are also canceled.

Went to CSE

Hey, today morning I went to the Colombo Stock Exchange, for a company visit regarding the JOB FAIR. It was really cool and got a lot of knowledge of their needs.
Today evening hope to go the AIESEC Office to meet MC. Wish to get some advices from them for our future plans in the PBOX.
So, that about the day in nut shell. Hope everything will work fine..

Thursday 21st December

Hey.. Today is a nice and funny day for me.. We laughed a lot like nothing.. Morning I went for the Computer lecture, and in the evening had a nice time with friends. Had a batch meeting in the lunch hour to discuss about our batch trip. But only about 20 people came.:-)))

In the evening we had a OC meeting. There we talked about our works in the past week and the plans in the coming week. There also we enjoyed a lot and had a funny time. Mainly we enjoyed a lot with our budget:-)

Anyway, had a great day at the end. I am very much happy with my loving OC.

My AIESEC life

Hey....

Here I like to share my AIESEC experiences.. I joined AIESEC at the begining of this year. So I have got a lot of experiences as a newy. In the first couple of months, I participated in the info senimar and induction. From those events, I got to know a clear picture of AIESEC, and I decided to sstay in AIESEC from there onwards. I still think I have made a right decision.

So, on my journey I got a lot of knowledge from our EB members, and I would like to thank them a lot. Most importantly, I participated in NLDS which was held in November. The knowledge and experience I got from that is limitless. I met a lof friends from universities also.
So, after that, I was involved in a project called, PBOX(Project Based on Exchange) . There I was elected as the OCP. I am very glad about it and I think I have a great work to be done in the coming year. This project is mainly targeting in Entrepreneurship. So, we need to visit companies in Sri Lanka.

I will post more info about our project in another session.......
